You can find the events website here.

Rhizomatic learning is a tool created by the French philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Felix Quattari. The core of this tool is to examine and learn from non-hierarchical systems of rhizomatic networks by recognizing connectivity, diversity and symbiosis as an alternative for our current capitalistic system that are based on competition, exploitation and extractivism.

Discussions, lectures and workshops will examine how abstract ideas and ideologies are transformed into physical realities. In addition to studying Deleuze’s and Guattaris’s original idea of Rhizome the lectures will touch on topics such as activism, growth dependent cities, biodiversity, care and our relationship to the more-than-human world.

The event will be organised 1.-6.10.2024, with lectures in Helsinki on 1.-3.10. and a explorative trip to Isosaari island in Helsinki Archipelago 4.-6.10. A more detailed timetable will be published later.
